Privacy Manifesto

Last Updated: October 2023

1. Sovereign Architecture Overview

NionData is built on a "Local-First" sovereign architecture. This means the vast majority of our analytical operations, charting algorithms, and intelligence processing occur directly within your web browser using WebAssembly (WASM).

2. Data Processing & Storage

When you upload a dataset to NionData, the raw file is not immediately sent to our servers. It is parsed and analyzed locally on your device. Only highly anonymized metadata or explicit AI-feature requests are temporarily transmitted for advanced Large Language Model (LLM) generation.

3. Supabase Cloud Sync

If you create an account to save your intelligence reports and datasets across devices, that data is securely synchronized to our Supabase-hosted databases. We enforce strict Row Level Security (RLS) policies ensuring that your data is cryptographically isolated and only accessible by your authenticated user ID.

4. Information We Collect

We collect standard account information needed to provide the service: Email address, encrypted passwords, and organization names. Your payment details are processed directly by our Merchant of Record (Paddle) and never touch our servers.
